From 8 October to 16 October Groot Constantia is celebrating wine with #PinotageDay and #DrinkLocalWine Day in #SouthAfrica.
The 13th of September is officially known at World Chocolate Day and we have found some of the best spots in Cape Town to celebrate. If you do not have a sweet tooth, then do not fear, chocolate usually goes hand-in-hand with a great cup of coffee! So come and celebrate this day of Coffee Chocolate and Decadence with the Cape Town Big 7!
A wise person once said: “You cannot live on wine alone, add some chocolate!” The Chocolate and Wine Pairing at Groot Constantia is a heavenly experience which can be shared by sweethearts, as it is incredibly romantic; or as a basis for lengthy catch-up sessions with your best friends.
A trip to the Mother City will not be complete without a visit to each Cape Town Big 7 attractions namely: Table Mountain Cableway, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, Cape Point, City Walk and Groot Constantia – represents the perfect combination of dramatic scenic beauty, enthralling history and exhilarating activities that have come to define this beautiful corner of South Africa.
In the news: In response to significant growth in visitor numbers, Groot Constantia is rolling out a unique new Visitor’sRoute experience – which will be available in time for the second half of 2016’s summer season. Four years of continuous growth in numbers saw Groot Constantia welcome over 400 000 visitors in 2015 alone – which has led to the need to enhance the Groot Constantia experience so that guests are allowed increased, and more personalised interaction, with the staff and offerings at the estate.
In the News: Groot Constantia has been rated as the Top South African Wine Producer for 2016 by The South-African Wine Index (SAWi).
Safety is a number one priority at the Table Mountain Cableway. For this reason, the Cableway closes each year for a brief period to allow a team of experienced engineers to inspect the entire operation. This year, the cableway will be closed from Monday 25 July until Sunday 7 August.
