Charlene from Pretty Please Charlie and her little ones spent the day rediscovering the magic of Kirstenbosch with their Winter Wonders Holiday Programme

Rediscover The Magic Of Kirstenbosch

The city of Cape Town has so much to offer for families, even during the colder months! Yesterday mom and I took the girls to Kirstenbosch to check out their Winter Wonders Holiday Programme. We had a blast. For a moment there I forgot how spectacular Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is!

The weather was simply perfect which means that we could roam the garden and take in all of its splendour. We had a leisurely stroll and finally experienced walking among the treetops on the Boomslang Canopy Walkway. It was simply magical. The girls had so much fun running up and down the pathways of the Enchanted Forest and I think my mom took about 100 photos.

All that fresh air made us hungry so we headed to Moyo for lunch and to experience all the fun they have in store as part of their holiday programme. The girls enjoyed a fabulous magic show while my mom and I had a delicious lunch. That pumpkin bread… wow. Moyo Kirstenbosch is fantastic. We were greeted with the most friendly smiles and felt so at home, we didn’t want to leave. The girls also gobbled up their yummy lunch and then went to go and play on the jungle gym outside the restaurant. But only after my mom and the girls had their faces painted. You simply can’t visit Moyo and leave without being adorned with a few beautiful flowers and patterns on your cheeks.Rediscover The Magic Of Kirstenbosch Rediscover The Magic Of Kirstenbosch Rediscover The Magic Of Kirstenbosch Rediscover The Magic Of Kirstenbosch

Kirstenbosch and Moyo have made it easy to banish the boredom these holidays

Entrance to the garden is FREE for kids 17 years and younger these holidays until 16 July 2018 and Moyo has a jampacked programme filled with winter holiday magic to keep young and old entertained. Think magic shows, kids drumming, puppet shows, movies, arts and crafts and a soft play area. And most of the activities are free of charge. Plus there is ample seating for parents to enjoy a little peace and a delicious cup of coffee whilst the kids play to their heart’s content.

Come rain or shine these holidays, visiting the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Moyo Restaurant will make family memories that will last a lifetime.

About Pretty Please Charlie
I am a 40-year-old, dog-loving, wine drinking, chocolate eating, technologically impaired, wife and mom, of one. Family and friends come first. Always. I love sushi, rock music, tattoos, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, all forms of dance and people who are considerate to strangers. I live in Cape Town. I am passionate about makeup and skincare, but that has nothing to do with my day job. I love trying new products and treatments and telling you all about it. That is why I started Pretty Please Charlie.
Since embarking on my blogging journey in 2012, my blog and I have grown considerably. I have also started to write more about parenting, lifestyle, and fashion.
I write about products and services that I have enjoyed myself or would love to experience. If I feel that it will add value to your life, I will post about it. I want to keep this a happy place, so expect to read the words ‘love’, ‘fabulous’ and ‘gorgeous’ often. If I don’t like it, I don’t write about it.
